This picture was taken August 22, 2020. At the time of the photo taken, I was out on my pontoon boat with my daughter and son-in law enjoying “music on the lake” which was an impromptu BIRTHDAY celebration for a dear friend, Lyn Pennington. It’s COVID19 time, so they couldn’t have anyone at their home, hence hiring a live band, so that people with boats could surround the home by water to enjoy the music. The smoke from the fires near the Bay Area, primarily the big one that started in the Vacaville area created a beautiful sunset that evening. It was a magical night even though there was some smoke out there. After sun set, we three commented that we could actually see stars, which hadn’t happened for at least a week due to the smoke in the area.
