The lake has 5.5 miles of shoreline and the boating activities include water skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing and fishing. OH, DID WE SAY FISHING??? Yes, it’s one of the most well known and popular lakes for BASS fishing in Northern California and some very reputable Bass fishermen live in Lake of the Pines just because of the Bass fishing. Not into Bass fishing? You can fish for Crappie and Bluegill and Perch to your heart’s content. There are some huge Catfish, and new to the lake, trout!
The lake warms up fast enough for people to start swimming about mid April and still can enjoy swimming through September and early October depending on the weather that season. Each year is a little different. Our June – mid August lake temperature averages about 77 degrees to 82 degrees.
ACTIVITIES IN LAKE OF THE PINES
Enjoy golfing on the private 18 hole course. Tennis anyone? There are 4 tennis courts & a very active Tennis Club. There is also Pickleball, a form of tennis, but with lighter balls & a smaller court. There is a very active Bocce Ball Club that has over 500 players in it.

Our schools are rated very high in the State and there are 4 schools just outside the gate of LOP, which includes a well known Christian School – Forest Lake School.

There are 1997 parcels with approximately 90% built on. Many homes have had complete makeovers, while others retain their original design and charm. There are ongoing modifications year after year. All homes are “custom built” with a variety of styles and designs. They range from small vacation type homes to beautiful, large homes. Most of the parcel sizes range from 1/4 acre to 1/3 acres in size, but, there are many that range from 1/2 acres to 2 acres and larger, Home prices are affordable ranging from $300,000 to $2,00,000 (subject to change with market conditions).
